RICHARDSON – ACU record-breaking shortstop Willie Uechi was named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the week as announced by the league office Wednesday. Uechi was the third Wildcat to earn the honor this year after becoming the all-time hit leader at ACU and the LSC.

THACKERVILLE, OK – The 24th ranked Wildcat golf team took home their first tournament victory of the season at the Red River Intercollegiate after rain forced the opening round to be finished Tuesday morning. Freshmen Alex Carpenter picked up his first tournament win of the spring in a playoff at the WinStar Golf Course.

LAWTON, OK – The Wildcats end an eight-game road swing in Oklahoma as they will play a twin bill with Cameron in a Lone Star Conference crossover game. Thursday’s game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was rescheduled after thunderstorms crossed through the south portion of Oklahoma earlier in the week.

ABILENE – The Wildcats used two solid outings on the mound from Aaron Lambirx and Will Calhoun to finish a sweep of East Central Saturday afternoon at Crutcher Scott Field.  ACU improved to 17-2, and 10-2 in the Lone Star Conference with the wins while ECU fell to 3-9, and 3-7 in the conference.

ABILENE – After finishing No. 1 in the South Central Region a year ago ACU found their selves looking up from No. 5 to start the spring.  Saturday the Wildcats took down the new No. 1 Incarnate Word as they swept a pair of matches at the Eager Tennis Center.
